Our Story
Al Hubbard Machine Shop has been rebuilding engines in Hayward since 1952 — over 70 years of precision machine work on Meekland Avenue. We're the shop other shops send their work to. From classic Mustang V8s to Honda B-series, from boat motors to one-off projects, we've seen it all and machined it all. Wade, Jimmie, and the crew bring decades of hands-on experience to every block that comes through the door. No service writers. No corporate runaround. Just real machinists who'll answer your questions, explain what your engine actually needs, and give you a fair price. Cylinder Boring
Precision boring and honing to spec. Standard oversize or custom — we match your pistons, not the other way around.
Head Rebuilding
Valve jobs, resurface, crack repair. We'll tell you if it's salvageable or if you need to find another head.
